My study of Creative Art & Comperative Literature at the university of Haifa took three years. I have learned there a lot about various forms of Creative Art. Body Painting Photos.
| Body Painting Photos. Free high resolution body painting photos for the world championships in Austria. See how each unique body painting art develops. Highly recommended for a visit. These photos are from the World Body Painting Festival is held during the third week of July every year in Seebonden and Carinthia, Austria. This is the largest festival for the Bodypainting community. Over 100 body painting artists and models that attend this festival with thousands of visitors from all over the world eager to see this art every year. The first four days are comprises of special workshop and lesson events while the last three days of the festival is open to the public. I was lucky enough to attend this event full of live music, snacks and cafes and had a wonderful time taking these photos. You can see how each of the unique pieces of art develops as the day progresses. The models and artists get the opportunity to show the art on their body against the magnificent scenery of Millstatter See. English: Probably one of the very first cultural manifestations of mankind, body painting is still quite unknown in the modern world. Maybe the fact that mankind has taken such way of thinking, where nakedness is considered a shame, erotic and even pornography, made us leave aside this art, so pure and simple that is just the act of adorning the body with paints and other similar materials. Still in our days, here in Brazil and in some other countries, primitive cultures use body painting to express joy, sadness or belligerence. In our culture, body painting is practically restricted to make up and clowns, but it starts to appear in some popular manifestations such as in soccer stadiums and political marches. In the carnival samba school parades one can yet count several cases of whole or partially painted bodies. In the beaches and other naturist locations, where nudity is absolutely natural like among the Indians, this art is present as an esthetic manifestation. Still not well understood by those who never undress their prejudices, but yet respected by those who are sensible, body painting is gaining new adepts day by day. | The Body Painting Page. Welcome to the art and practice of Body Painting! This site is intended to entertain, amuse, inspire and inform. These pages contain several images I have created in collaboration with other artists and models. All the images began as photographs of models painted with body paints. Some digital photo manipulation and retouching has been performed on some images; but all the painting was done with real pigment on real skin. I have found it to be very difficult to find useful and practical information about body painting techniques. So on the Tips and Techniques pages I've collected what I and others have learned through hard trial and error. Chamelia

This project started in January 2000 by photographer Vitaly Borodylin and young painter Helen Demi. Their meeting at the Bodypainting Championship was a powerful spur to it. Our regional Ural Bodypainting Championship was held last year in Ekaterinburg. Helen won it and took part in Russian Bodypainting Championship in Moscow but in that time she was only the fifth. This year another of our painters, Irina, was second at the origional championship and Chamelia was presented by two painters Helen and Irina in Moscow. They got second and fourth places accordingly.
