We just returned from a GREAT couple of days at The Desert Shadows in P.S., our first trip to both.

Our reaction to Palm Springs itself was not good as we had rather expected either a Beverly-Hills-in-the-Desert or a Scottsdale (AZ) environment - it was neither!

However, Desert Shadows was just wonderful! From the moment that we arrived everyone was friendly and the facilities are good. The evening receptionist showed us around and then took us to our room. We stayed in the Villas right by the main pool.

The rooms are adequate, clean and (thankfully) well air conditioned. The house-keeping was excellent and little touches that they did made the stay there a delight.

My wife is a Flight Attendant and stays in hotels for about 50% of the time and she found the environment to be pleasing and the friendliness and service good. She did comment about the prices as we were there off season and midweek. I understand that the Resort is selling a lifestyle rather than just a hotel room but we still found the value for money a little lacking. our one and only criticism.

We would love to hear about other P.S. locations.
