o Carolina Foothills Resort Report. October 2001. Single guy, no problem. I laid next to the pool in the sun for two days straight. How relaxing! They have some great nature trails and the rental cabins are adequate. I'd probably camp next time. All the people were very friendly. Thanks Drew for the report!
o Carolina Foothills Resort Report. August 2000. Near Chesnee. About 45 minutes from Greenville/Spartanburg is this relatively new facility. Cooperatively owned, they offer a pool, hot tub, volleyball, petanque, billiards, and so on. There is a courtesy phone available for guests to use, and one can also use the refrigerators in the clubhouse for ones own food and drink during a day visit. Dave arranged an evening tour for me and allowed me to prepay for the next day. Friendly people, good old southern hospitality and a reasonable $14 day rate are more of the reasons I will return on another visit to the south. Thanks Irish for the report!
o Cedar Creek. 2000. Cedar Creek is located in Pelion, South Carolina. It is a very nice landed club that is single friendly. It has a club house, pool, hot tub, volley ball court, miniature golf course, hiking trails with a creek and boardwalk. The club is located in the center of the state and convenient to the entire state. If you have any question on the club feel free to email me. The club is listed in the AANR guide. The club also has NUDESTOCK, a 3 day music festival in the fall. Campsites are available both for primitive and RVs. Thanks Tom for the report!
o Chatooga Gorge. 2004. Directions: Obtain a map at the ranger station seven miles North of Walhalla, SC on Rt 107; our directions are keyed to this map. Have a ball, as above, or follow Rt 28 west for access to other sections of incomparable Chatooga Gorge. Rating: FIVE FULL MOONS. Report: We have Gloria & Leonard Ponder, Founders of Western Carolina Naturists, to thank for finding this area which is without peer; try it. QUESTION: Where does one find many miles of nude hiking, camping, white water rafting, mini water slides, countless pools, sunning opportunities, and waterfalls, AND scenes from the movie "Deliverance", all in the same place?...
